Singin’ in the Rain

Taking place in 1920s Hollywood, this light-hearted romantic comedy focuses on two movie actors and how they deal with the transition from silent pictures to the early days of sound film. Don Lockwood and Lina Lamount are the toast of Hollywood. However, Lina has been cursed with a terrible, grating voice. Thus, problems occur when she and Don star in their first talking movie. Secretly, Don and the studio executives arrange to have a beautiful, up-and-coming actress, Kathy, mime for Lina. Luckily, the movie is a hit. However, Lina is furious. In the end, Lina’s terrible voice is revealed to the public and Don and Kathy fall in love.

Forever Plaid / The Taffetas

FOREVER PLAID is one of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory. This deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950′s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was.

Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the “Plaids” are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they’re not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the 1950′s.

THE TAFFETAS is set in 1950-something, and these four singing sisters from Muncie, Indiana are making their national television debut on the Dumont Television Network’s Spotlight on Music!

THE TAFFETAS pays tribute to the sounds of The McGuire Sisters, The Fontane Sisters and The Chordettes. Opening Off-Broadway almost two years before Forever Plaid, THE TAFFETAS made nostalgia what it is today! Spend an hour and a half with Kaye, Peggy, Cheryl and Donna and their band, and remember what Sunday night television was like on your 12-inch black and white screen!

Fiddler on the Roof

Attempting to live a normal life filled with Jewish traditions in early twentieth century Russia, Tevye , a dairyman, is searching for appropriate husbands for his three eldest daughters – Tzeital, Hodel and Chava. In a break of tradition, his daughters refuse to accept the wishes of the matchmaker, Yente, and their father. Instead, they marry men that they love. Meanwhile, Russians are instigating terrible pogroms against the Jewish people in Russia. In the end, the Jews of Anatevka are forced to leave their homes and Tevye is determined to start a better life in a new land.
