My Fair Lady

Based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, My Fair Lady is the wildly popular story concerning Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist, so that she may pass as a lady. The musical’s 1956 Broadway production was a momentous hit, setting a record for the longest run of any major musical theatre production in history. It was followed by a hit London production, a popular film version, and numerous revivals. It has been called “the perfect musical” with such memorable songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “Wouldn’t It be Loverly” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”

Anything Goes

Anything Goes is the story of madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy #13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win Hope. The musical introduced music and lyrics by Cole Porter with such songs as “Anything Goes”, “You’re the Top”, and “I Get a Kick Out of You.”

Evita

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, Evita concentrates on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita’s early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death.
